Low Cost Probate
When someone dies often there is a great deal of work to sort out and distribute their estate. And if their estate is worth more than £5,000 then a Grant of Probate must be applied for. In addition, telephone calls need to be made, letters written and multiple administrative tasks completed. The undertaking can be so daunting and time consuming that many people pass this work to a solicitor to complete. However, solicitor's fees can be high and the eventual bill for sorting through your loved one's estate can be daunting.

More Benefits
We promise to beat any other written quote you receive
Should you wish, the quotation can include coordinating the house sale and liaising with estate agents, organising the house clearance and security visits
It's your choice on how much of the work you hand over. You can entrust us with the whole process or choose to do part of the work yourself.
Once you have accepted the quotation, you will be referred to your personal probate solicitor and can deal directly with them
We have carefully selected our panel of solicitors, each with unique strengths in the probate field. Your case will be matched with the solicitor we believe is best suited for your particular needs.
We could save you up to £125,000 inheritance tax (2008/09 tax year) if the deceased was a widow or widower. This can be achieved by applying to use the late spouse's allowances in respect of the deceased's estate
The solicitor will place adverts to advise potential claimants. This protects executors from potentially having to personally compensate any late claimants after they have already distributed the estate
All the important paperwork will be securely hand-delivered direct to your door at a mutually convenient time
Any monies collected on behalf of the estate will be lodged in your solicitor's Client Account. This account is totally guaranteed by the Law Society and is completely free from risk
Any interest earned from the estate funds is completely credited to the estate - nothing is retained

Why use our Probate Service and not a solictor?
Naturally the amount solicitors charge will vary according to the complexity of the Will and the estate, but it is extremely unlikely that a probate solicitor will give a fixed fee quotation. As an example, a solicitor could quote a percentage of the overall value of the estate, plus hourly charges for administration, plus disbursements (money they have to pay to third parties eg. fees for medical or other expert reports) - it is also likely you'll need to pay 15% VAT on top of the fee.
